Second Moscow International Dolls and Teddy Bears Exhibition Fair "Moscow Fair 2008" is to take place in Moscow, April 3-6, 2008. This event is expected to become a leading specialized trade fair to represent and exhibit best achievements of the global dolls production industry.

Creation Laboratory
Intermational Dolls and Teddy bears exhibition-fair «Moscow Fair» this time will act as a scene for creative experiments and the theme of the art-show is «AVANT-GARDEn».
In midspring a modern exhibition complex will turn into a creation laboratory for 4 days. At the territory of 1500 sq.m you will find an avant-garde garden where doll performances by best Russian and foreign masters will be held. Moscow Fair is a brave artists game, challenge to proportions, juggling with techniques, materials taming. Everyone will be involved into the bright art-show! The visitors will have an opportunity to attend master-classes of different difficulty rate on dolls and Teddy bear creation.
Our AVANT-GARDEn consists of three parts:
Dollitory will welcome artistic dolls made in all known techniques: porcelain will charm you with nobleness, textile will warm, polymers will intrigue with characters. There also will be shown antique dolls from personal collections.
Teddyarium promises to surprise even experienced visitors with the variety of Teddy bears. Teddy bear artists will demonstrate the most interesting creative findings and use of different new methods.
DesignMessage will surprise with conception. Artists and designers create art-objects in form of a doll or a teddy bear from completely unusual materials. There are many ways to understand them. They find really endless spaces for creative searching, fulfill them in vinyl and plastic. Professionals and amateurs of modern art, fashion and animation will for sure highly rate the design findings popular now all over the world.
SPECIAL PROJECTS
The Moscow Fair premier is a personal exhibition. In 2009 the organizers suggested that Tatiana Ovchinnikova should show the works retrospective. Combining cloth pieces and graphical cotton prints, like paints, the artist burst into the front positions of doll ratings with her unusually dynamic and sensible works.
Moscow Fair will present the project «Bears among us». We often pay attention to the fact that Teddy bears look like their authors and collectors, they have similar characters and habits. That is why, only for the art-exhibition, photo-art master Tatiana Deliagina prepares the show of photos, where plush heroes (just like people) became citizens of megapolis.
Almost traditional Moscow Fair project «My favourite toy» this time will be shown in a new form, which was worked at by the organizers together with TV-channels “Domashniy” and “STS”. Famous celebrities will tell about their favourite toys.
Together with experiments and new projects the visitors will see the annual contest among teddy bear artists “Golden Potap”, a usual Moscow Fair project held by the Art Teddies Collectors Club. International Judges will give prizes according to 8 nominations and “the best of the best” will be given the “Golden Potap” statue.
«Art-felt» will show felt like a work of art and show many ideas which you can fulfill with a warm and soul technique, felt and filtznadel.
«Porcelain fantasies» will make you happy with flower compositions in accessories and doll decoration.
«Magic plastics» will surprise you with the abilities tapestry of world-famous material.
The results of the First International fair of dolls and Teddy bears «Moscow Fair 2007»
Participants. More than 100 exhibitors from Russia, near and far abroad, including Ukraine and Germany participatedI in the fair «Moscow Fair 2007».
Among the masters who have taken part in the fair were such talented Russian and foreign dolls and Teddy-bear artists as: Annadan, Nadegda Davidova, Dgemma Kudge, Alaina Zhirenkina, Elena Kagalnikova, sisters Bukharaevy, Maria Streltsova, Oksana Yarmolnik, Natalia Kataeva, known galleries and clubs from Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Ekaterinburg, Chelyabinsk, Omsk, Perm, Orel, Volgograd and other cities.
All genres of doll and Teddy-bear art and been presented: porcelain, textile dolls, dolls from plastic, a miniature, doll houses, antique dolls and bears.
Commercial success of carrying out of the fair proves to be true by numerous sales and orders, galleries have replenished with the new works, beginning artists have received the first invaluable experience of exhibiting.
Visitors. During work of an exhibition more than 10 000 visitors from Moscow and the Moscow area, regional visitors, representatives of distributors have been registered.
Mass media. The fair «Moscow Fair 2007» has been widely covered in mass-media. The active advertising company included the outdoor advertising, has passed on the central, district and cable channels of TV (including on a telechannel "House", which became the information sponsor of the fair) and in press, on thematic Internet-resources.
The organization of exposition space. Thematic sectors: « the Doll garden », "Glade" and « City of masters ». Stylistic registration of each of sectors emphasized art features of the exhibits presented to them. For example, in « City of masters» various materials and accessories, including the manual work, used by artists for manufacturing and dressing of the works were shown..
Master-Classes und Master-Shows. . During all work of the fair there 15 master-classes and the master-show of known artists-puppeteers have passed in a hall for conferences and on a stage.
The special project. An occasion for pride of organizers of the fair became opening an exhibition «My favourite toy». Stars of show business, theatre and ballet have told about their favorite toy of the childhood.
